Gladys Goodenough Saginaw, Michigan Passed away Thursday, November 14, 2013, at St. Mary's of Michigan. Age 94 years. Gladys was born July 4, 1919 in Vanderbilt, Michigan the daughter of the late George Franklin and Sarah (Cherwinski) Lewis. She married Lawrence I.O. Goodenough, August 25, 1940. He passed away September 18, 1965. Gladys was a member of Grace Baptist Church, taught Sunday School, volunteered at Luther Manor and retired from Kresge's where she worked at the lunch counter for several years. She enjoyed crocheting and cooking. Surviving are three sons and their wives, Melvin and Carolyn Goodenough, New Braunfels, TX' Gary and Carlene Goodenough, Saginaw, Michigan; Ervin and Carol Goodenough, Saginaw, Michigan; 10 Grandchildren and their spouses, Joy and Joe French; Jill and Barry Box; Kathy and Tony Near; Karen and Chris France; Kristine and Todd Kirby; Jack Goodenough; Heidi and Josh Gilde; Luke and Cheryl Goodenough; Andrew Goodenough; Darby Vacar; 17 great grandchildren; her special nieces, Carol Watts and Joan Binkley; several other nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives. She was predeceased by a great grandchild and her favorite sister and brother-in-law, Beulah and Harvey Clute. The funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 18, 2013, at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Rd. Rev. Marvin Buchholz will officiate. Friends may call at the Chapel from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Sunday and from 10:00 a.m. Monday until the time of the funeral service.
