Passed away Sunday, March 15, 2020 at the age of 89 years. Glenn was born on November 13, 1930 to the late Miles and Lena (Zinser) Cunningham in Saginaw. He was a graduate of Saginaw High, class of 1948 and a member of the United States Air Force. On October 20, 1956 he married Shirley Otter at the Nelson United Methodist Church. She survives him.

Glenn and Shirley have been long time members of the Nelson United Methodist Church. From the age of 15 through 88 he was a bricklayer, many of those years working for Boettcher Masonry. During his time as a bricklayer and stonemason he helped build many significant buildings which included their own home of 57 years. Glenn also enjoyed running, which continued on into his seventies. He also loved coaching (softball, cross country, track) bowling, playing cards with Shirley, working at Richland Township Park, watching his grandchildren play sports, attending air shows, and most of all eating ice cream and his wife’s chocolate chip cookies. Glenn was also an avid Michigan fan. Together, Glenn and Shirley hosted three foreign exchange students through YFU (Youth for Understanding). Above all Glenn was a family man, and enjoyed his time spent with those he loved most.

Surviving are his wife Shirley, their daughter Sallie (Robert) Lewicki, grandchildren; Tiffany Smith, Crystal Lewicki and Bobby Lewicki. He is also survived by his great grandchildren Zachary Smith and Easton Yuchasz and a sister Florence Williams. Ma ny nieces and nephews survive him, as well as many “adopted grandchildren”.

Glenn was preceded in death by his granddaughter Nichole Smith, grandson Jason Smith and his siblings Charlene Erickson and George Cunningham.

Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the family in care of Shirley Cunningham.
