Glenn Roy Rodgers of Marion Springs, Michigan, formerly of Northern Florida
Beloved husband, uncle, cousin, and friend passed away unexpectedly on Friday, March 26, 2021, at MidMichigan Medical Center in Alma, Michigan. He was 79 years old. Glenn Roy Rodgers was born on January 3, 1942, in Marion Township, to the late Leon Leslie and Gladys Irene (Rivard) Rogders. He proudly served his country by enlisting in the United States Army on October 23, 1962, receiving an honorable discharge on October 27, 1964. Upon his return, Glenn married the love of his life, Hazel June Thomas on December 31, 1968; she survives him. He worked as a machine operator for Motor Wheel, retiring after many years of dedicated service. Glenn also worked in the roofing industry for many years. Even though he battled Muscular Dystrophy his entire life, he still loved to ride his motorcycle, tinker on vehicles, and drive truck. Glenn was also an avid hunter, fisherman, trapper, and farmer. He was a faithful member of the Marion Springs Kingdom Hall of the Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Surviving are his wife, Hazel June Rodgers; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and lifelong friends.
He was preceded in death by his brothers and a sister.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Masonic Pathways in Alma for all the love and care they provided.
