     Passed away Sunday, October 2, 2022, at the Kindy Care Center, Freeland. Age 91 years.

     The daughter of the Elizabeth Mae (Calin) and George Charles Kretz was born January 21, 1931, in Swan Creek, Michigan.  She married Andrus Joseph (Jim) Fruge, August 23, 1952. He passed away August 31, 2008.  Gloria was employed by various firms in retail and Consumers Power. She was a member of St. Francis de Sales Parish- St. Christopher Church. She loved gardening, flowers, decorating, baking, cooking and her family. She was a member of the Red Hat Club.

     Surviving are four children and their spouses, Joseph Fruge, Tucson, AZ; Susan and Greg Hildebrandt, Beaverton, MI; Kimberly and Larry DeBeau, Virginia Beach, VA; Donald and Annette Fruge, Freeland, MI; twelve grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; two brothers, three sisters, George (Gin) Kretz; Betty Rottman; Barbara Brockett; Sharon Howell; Daryl Kretz; many nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her husband, parents, an infant son, James Curtis Fruge, a daughter-in-law, Maria Fruge, a great grandson, Carter Fruge, three sisters, two brothers, Jacquelyn Wilson, Elaine Kram, Kenneth Kretz, Tom Kretz and Beverly Kelley.

      The funeral liturgy will take place at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 7, 2022, at St. Francis de Sales Parish- St. Christopher Church.  Rev. John Mancini O.S.F.S. assisted by Deacon Gary Patelski will officiate with entombment in St. Andrews Mausoleum. Friends may visit with family at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 5700 Dixie Hwy. from 4:00- 7:00 p.m. Thursday where a vigil service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Friends may also visit at the church from 10:00 a.m. Friday until the time of the funeral liturgy.
