Passed away on Tuesday, January 1, 2019 at the age of 93 years. The daughter of the late James and Hazel (Ashford) Stone was born on February 15, 1925 in Washington, D.C. She married Raymond Sperling on August 30, 1958; he survives her. She was a member of Frankenmuth United Methodist Church. Goldie sold Avon products for over 30 years. She also enjoyed breeding and showing Quarter Horses and Dalmatian dogs. Goldie was a member of the Red Hat Society and Merry Wives. She also enjoyed ceramics and gardening. Surviving besides her husband, Raymond are her children: Dale Benton, Linda (Roger) Brock, Rosalind "Roz" (Kasper) Landman, Russell Malicoat, Rev. Bruce (Penny) Malicoat, Charles Sperling and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, relatives and friends. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, James Stone. Funeral service will take place at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, January 5, 2019 at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. Her son, Rev. Bruce Malicoat will officiate with burial at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit at the funeral chapel on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Westforest United Methodist Church or the Humane Society.
