Eckhardt, Grace M. Saginaw, Michigan Passed away on Sunday, April 7, 2013 at Luther Manor at the age of 97 years. The daughter of the late Fred and Mabelle (Almy) Metzger was born on September 4, 1915 in Saginaw. She married Casper J. Eckhardt on April 18, 1936, he predeceased her on March 3, 1998. Grace worked as a hair dresser for many years. She was a member of Countryside Trinity Church, past president of the E.K.S. , the Makere Temple (Daughters of the Nile), and a member of the Martha Washington Chapters No. 113 O.E.S. women's club, Temple Theatre Organ Club, and Historical Society of Saginaw County, at the Castle Museum. Surviving are a brother, Dale Metzger, a sister, Ruth Harn, two step-brothers; Dr. Ralph Rupp, Marwood Rupp, and many nieces and nephews including Larry Kuebler. She was predeceased by a brother, Kenneth Metzger, a step-brother Carl Rupp. Funeral service will take place at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at Oakwood Memorial Mausoleum, 5950 Gratiot Rd., Saginaw. Rev. Kenneth Parker will officiate with entombment at Oakwood to follow.
