Guadalupe "Lupe" Blanco of Saginaw, Michigan Beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and uncle passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Saturday, July 27, 2019. He was 80 years old. Guadalupe Blanco was born on October 16, 1938, in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, to the late Felix and Juanita (Fuentes) Blanco. He married the love of his life, Angelina Rodarte in 1979; she preceded him in death on September 26, 2016. Lupe was a faithful member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish - St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. He worked as a repairman at Saginaw Steering Gear for 37 years before his retirement. Lupe enjoyed working outdoors in his yard, playing the lottery, and was a devoted Detroit Tigers fan. Above all, he loved and cherished his family, especially spending time with his grandchildren.

Surviving are three sons and four daughters: Felix D. (Imelda) Blanco of Toledo, OH; Angela and Valerie Blanco of Saginaw; Juanita Rodarte of Saginaw; Tony (Chris) Arroyo of Saginaw; Guadalupe Blanco, Jr. of Toledo, OH; Corina (Ron) Cooper of Toledo, OH; nine granddaughters: Jill, Jennifer, Tammy, Tina, Jamie, Anjelina, Elizabeth, Catiana, and Omayia; one grandson, James Anthony; seven great-grandchildren in Michigan: Ian Anthony, Ianna, Audriana, Axia, Ariela, Seviana, Cecilia; two brothers: Alberto Blanco of San Angelo, TX; Felix (Yolanda) Blanco, Jr. of Uvalde, TX; four sisters: Maria Concepcion Castillon of Ft. Collins, CO; Maria (Max) Alvarez of Uvalde, TX; Santos (Tony) Solis Temple, TX; Josephina B. Lopez of Temple, TX; sister-in-law, Evangelina Blanco, Temple, TX. Also surviving are many loving nieces, nephews, a special friend, Daniel Cervantes and his beloved dog, Chucha.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Daniel Blanco, Sr; two sisters: Jesusa Longoria and Juana Del Toro; sister-in-law, Angelita V. Blanco; four brothers-in-law: Pedro Longoria, Sr.; Rogelio Del Toro; Elias Castillon, Sr.; Silvestre Lopez.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the amazing staff at A&D Home Health Care and Hospice, especially, Jim, Lupes wound care RN, as well as to Lori Jones and the Cass River Health Plaza staff.
A Funeral Liturgy will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 30, 2019, at St. Francis of Assisi Parish, St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 3680 S. Washington Ave. Rev. Fr. Gerry Pehler, OFM Cap will officiate. Rite of Committal will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Friends are welcome to visit with the family on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. Francis of Assisi Parish.
