Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Sunday, April 11, 2021, at Edgewood Assisted Living. She was 93 years old. Gwendolyn Vella Strelow was born on April 10, 1928, in West Branch, Michigan, to the late Clarence H. and Ethel C. (Shappee) Strelow. She married Arthur A. Beyersdorf on December 7, 1946; he preceded her in death on June 28, 2004. Gwen was a faithful member of Bethany Lutheran Church. She worked for Weight Watchers in Saginaw, as well as selling Avon products for many years. Gwen was gifted and talented in working with crafts, especially knitting and crocheting. She also enjoyed working in her garden and canning. Gwen loved cooking and baking and was famous for her cinnamon rolls. She knew exactly how many cups of love, ounces of care, and dashes of kindness were needed to make everything taste great. Above all, she treasured and cherished her family and her cat, Squirt. Gwen will forever be remembered for her love, compassion, and selflessness to those she loved.

Surviving are two sons and two daughters: Wayne (Gail) Beyersdorf of Freeland; Dale (Rosemary) Beyersdorf of Freeland; Janet (Ron) Brown of Saginaw; Lynn (Lance) Mead of Traverse City; daughter-in-law, Suzanne Beyersdorf of The Villages, FL; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Audrey Fraser of TN.

She was preceded in death by a son, Jerry Beyersdorf; brother, Clarence Strelow.

A private funeral service has taken place with Pastor Michael Nitz officiating. Burial took place at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
