Harold James Boehler Jr.

Harold James Boehler Jr., a beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully, with his family and friends by his side, on September 30, 2024, following a lengthy battle with cancer. He was 58 years old. Harold was born on October 1,1965, in Saginaw Michigan, to Harold James Boehler Sr. and the late Virginia Ann (Pahssen) Boehler. 

Harold was an avid fisherman and a notable hunter. As an enthusiastic outdoorsman, he enjoyed sharing his knowledge and skills with friends and family. 

Harold graduated from Swan Valley High School in 1983. He continued his education at Delta College where he received an Associate Degree in Criminal Justice. Harold worked several years and was highly respected and well-liked as a foreman at Hemlock Semiconductor. He served as a dedicated volunteer for the Saginaw County Sheriff’s Department for two years. Harold was an active member of several organizations, including the NRA, Ducks Unlimited, the Saginaw Field and Stream Club, and the North American Hunting Club. His enthusiasm for the outdoors was evident in his love for hunting and fishing, pursuits that earned him numerous accolades, including master angler of the year awards and commemorative bucks of Michigan awards. Most importantly, Harold shared this love for nature with his wife, Beth and their daughters, Caitlin and Courtney. Together, they created countless cherished memories during hunting and fishing trips, fostering a strong bond through their shared experiences. Harold also made it a point to attend his daughters' sporting events and those of his nieces and nephews.

Harold is survived by his wife of 32 years, Beth (Wenzel) Boehler. Harold and Beth were united in marriage on November 2, 1991. He leaves to cherish his memory his daughters, Caitlin Boehler and her fiancé Caleb Schroeder, and Courtney Boehler; his father, Harold James Boehler Sr.; one sister; Cheryl Boehler-Burgess and her husband Kevin Burgess, one brother; Brian Boehler and his fiancée Ashley Shevchenko; his father-in-law, James Wenzel; sisters-in-law; Christy and Steve Boehler, Carrie and Scott Stedry, brother-in-law; Tom and Ashley Wenzel, along with nieces and nephews; Sarah, Callie, and Jessica Burgess, Taylor Gaudard, Mackenzie Grace, Emmett Boehler, Jeremy Stedry, Kara Galbraith, Zachary Stedry, Luke and Everett Wenzel. Harold also leaves behind numerous dear friends, all of whom will miss him deeply.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Virginia Boehler, and his mother-in-law, Suzanne Wenzel. Although Harold maintained a quiet demeaner, his kindness, dedication to family, and love for the outdoors, creates a legacy that will be cherished and remembered by all who knew him. 

Friends may visit with the family from 2:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at W.L. Case and Company Funeral Directors, 201 N Miller Rd, Saginaw, MI 48609.
