Fritzler, Harold D. Marshall, Michigan Formerly of Saginaw, Michigan Beloved husband of the late Martha, beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother-in-law, uncle and friend, passed away Thursday, September 10, 2015, in Marshall, at the age of 88 years. Harold David Fritzler was born June 3, 1927, in Saginaw, the son of the late David and Mary (Simmon) Fritzler. He graduated from Arthur Hill High School with the Class of 1945. He served with the US Army during World War II. He had been employed by Vernor's Beverage Company and later by Faygo Beverage Company, retiring in 1989. Harold then worked for W. L. Case and Company Funeral Directors from 1996 until retiring in 2007. He was an active member of St. Luke Evangelical Lutheran Church, having served as an Elder, usher, and Sunday School teacher. Harold was a devoted family man, and enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He married Martha Seifert on May 8, 1948; she predeceased him December 23, 2008. Surviving are one son, Randy Fritzler and his fiance Michelle Perkins, Vicksburg, Michigan; one daughter, Beth and her husband Rod Knoerr, Marshall, Michigan; eight grandchildren and their spouses, Nicole, Danielle and R. J. Fritzler; Rod and Danielle Knoerr II, Kari and Zach Schurig, Kristi and Jon Ranger, Reid and Alex Knoerr, Christian and Emily Knoerr; nine great-grandchildren, Calvin, Caleb, Charleigh, Lexi, Liam, Landry, Kaden, Kallie and Lincoln; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Ruth and Coy Thomason, Janie Retzloff, David and Gen Seifert; many nieces, nephews and their families. He was predeceased by two brothers, Ken (Betty) and Henry Fritzler; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Leah and Bud Mills, Rae and Carl Nigh, Odelia and Clarence Leonhardt, and Duane Retzloff. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 15, 2015, at St. Luke Evangelical Lutheran Church, 5501 Gratiot Road. Rev. Mark Lindloff will officiate. Military honors will be under the auspices of VFW Post #1859. Private burial will take place in Eastlawn Memorial Gardens. Harold's family will receive friends at the W. L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Road, from 5:00 8:00 p.m. on Monday, and then at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
