Harold James Bluer St. Charles, MI Went home to be with his beloved Lord and Savior on Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at the age of 75 years. The son of the late Harold and Gladys (Loubert) Bluer was born on November 20, 1940 in Saginaw. He served in the U.S. Marines, stationed in Okinawa, Japan. He married Karen L. Morningstar-Rider on September 16, 1961; she survives him. Harold worked as a self-employed truck driver. He was a member of Shield of Faith Ministries. Harold was an artist, enjoying woodworking, cooking, baking, and building numerous things for family and friends. Surviving besides his wife of 53 years, Karen, are their children: Scott James Bluer who predeceased him in 1988, Steven Jon (Marcie) Bluer, Gary Lee (Linda) Bluer, 12 grandchildren: David, Jonathan, Abagail, Lydia, Isaac, Jeremiah, Zachary, Zoe, Samuel, Scott, Kristen, Matthew, his sister Sandra (Roger) Finkbeiner, his brother James (Margaret) Bluer, nieces and nephews: Linda, Jeffrey, Leeann, Jason, and his close friends: William and Dennis. The family would like to thank Karrey from Hospice Advantage and the staff at CCU at Covenant Cooper for the excellent care they gave Harold. Memorial service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at the Shield of Faith Ministries, 10322 Swan Creek Rd., Saginaw, MI 48609. Pastor Weldon Townsend will officiate. Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday at church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the memorial service.
