Harold Lloyd Fiting

Harold Lloyd Fiting Saginaw, Michigan Passed away Thursday, April 26, 2018, at his home. Age 83 years. The son of the late Emma (Pahl) and Herman Fiting was born December 13, 1934 in Hemlock, Michigan. He graduated from Hemlock High School and served with the U.S. Army in Germany. He married Peggy Porter, August 15, 1963. She passed away March 31, 2009. He was self-employed as a carpenter, steelworker and general contractor. He was meticulous with his lawn and garden, enjoyed playing poker, fishing and woodworking. Surviving are two daughters and their husbands, Gayle and Ray Schwan; Macine and Frank Schmidt; a daughter-in-law, Marie Knapp and Ken Wood; his grandchildren and their spouses, Wes Savage; Brandon and Rachel Savage; Andria Savage; Randy and Amanda Schwan; Kim and Steve Queen; Lt. Rory Schwan, MD, serving with the U.S. Navy; Seth and Kimberly Knapp; Brittany Knapp; Cody and Mackenzie Knapp; Marshall and Carrie Brown; Stephanie and Rick Frizzle; Jennifer Rosencrants; Jason Schmidt; fifteen great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and other relatives; his special friends, Theresa Mead and Duff Simerson. A son, Gregory D. Knapp, and five brothers, Alvin, Donald, Dale, Kenneth and his identical twin, Gerald Fiting have predeceased him. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 1, 2018, at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Rd. Saginaw. Rev. Rob Richards will officiate with military honors under the auspices of Hemlock-Merrill V.F.W. Post #7302.
