Rogner, Harvey H. of Saginaw, passed away on January 21, 2017 at Shattuck Manor, age 85. He was born May 21, 1931 in Saginaw to the late Otto and Hilda (Schwab) Rogner and was a member of St. John Ev. Lutheran Church of Hemlock. He served with the U.S. Army in Korea and Japan during the Korean conflict and retired from Dow Chemical in 1986 after 30 years of service. On March 6, 1993, he married Judith I. Pretzer in Northdale, Florida. Judy predeceased him on June 13, 2006. Harvey enjoyed traveling, (having been to all 50 states), bowling, golf, fishing, metal detecting and spending winters in the south. Surviving are one sister, Dorothy M. Pahssen, eight nieces and nephews and their families, Paul (Jan) Pahssen, Grayling; Ann (Tom) Weideman, Saginaw; Rita Dickson and Laura Mazany, Reno, NV; Joan Harris, Cocunut Creek, FL; Harry James (Sandy) Pahssen, Phoenix, AZ.; Nora (Mark) Bailey, Scottsdale, AZ; and Marc (Jennifer) Pahssen, Commerce Township. He was also predeceased by his fishing and metal detecting "brother", Harry Joseph Pahssen. The family would like to thank the staff of Shattuck Manor and Wellspring Hospice for the wonderful care they gave Harvey. Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 26, 2017 at St. John Ev. Lutheran Church, 2290 Pretzer Rd. Hemlock. Rev. Phil Bigelow will officiate with military burial at Roselawn Memorial Gardens under the auspices of V.F.W. Post #1859. Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. and again at church on Thursday, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service.
