Helen Marie Kehr

Helen Marie Kehr, age 66, of Saginaw, Michigan passed away on Wednesday, March 5, 2025. She was born in Saginaw on January 30, 1959, to the late Jack A. Carlton and Gladys June (Meehleder) Berger.

She was a proud graduate of Swan Valley High School, class of 1978. She was a cherished resident of her community and a dedicated professional who loved helping special needs children throughout her career as a bus aid for the Saginaw Intermediate School District.

Her commitment to supporting children with diverse needs was a testament to her nurturing spirit and unwavering dedication to making a positive difference in the lives of others.

Helen found joy by tending to plants and flowers, and she relished moments spent socializing with her friends. Her beloved cat, Hercules, was a source of comfort and companionship, reflecting the warmth she brought to those around her.

Helen is survived by her two children, Dawn (Ryan Parrish) Kehr and Matthew (Sarah) Kehr; her brother, William Carlton and sister-in-law, Liz Carlton; nieces and nephews, Christopher (Angie) Carlton, Amber (R.J.) Biskner, Adam (Alexis) David, and Emma David; and many great nieces and nephews.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents, Jack Carlton and Gladys Berger; her brother, John Carlton; and her sister, Joan David.

A visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. on Friday, March 14, 2025, at W.L. Case and Company Funeral Directors, 4480 Mackinaw Rd, Saginaw, MI 48603, with the funeral service to follow at 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider the Humane Society of Saginaw County or the Mustard Seed Shelter.
