Helen L. Weitz Saginaw, Michigan Beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, passed away peacefully Sunday, May 22, 2016, at Covenant- Cooper. Age 97 years. The daughter of the late Blanche (Paweliczk) and Max Kwaiser was born May 17, 1919 in Bridgeport Township, Michigan. She married Frederick Weitz, March 19, 1937. He passed away March 8, 1991. During World War II, Helen was a Rosie the Riveter employed in the Gun Plant. She also worked with her friend, Jo Weirauch, at the Bridgeport Dime Store for many years and was a home stylist for "Beeline" fashions. She was a member of St. Dominic Parish, SS. Peter and Paul site. She enjoyed playing cards, gardening, crocheting and loved to dance. She was an avid Detroit Tiger fan and in her later years enjoyed watching political programs. She loved her cabin in Long Lake, Michigan where many great times were had with family and friends. Most of all, she was beloved by her family. Surviving are her daughter, Janice McCreery; her grandchildren, Brigit Dyer-Reynolds; Anthony Dyer and his wife, Venessa; Patrick McCreery; Lynn Huizar and her husband, Jamie; 5 great grandchildren, Zachary Dyer; Sam Reynolds; Emile Reynolds; Bailey Huizar; Tristan Huizar; two sisters, one brother and their spouses, Maxine Rakowski; Betty and Nelson Miracle; William and Carolyn Kwaiser; many nieces and nephews. Three brothers and three sisters, Vincent Kwaiser; Madeline Glowacki; Maurice Kwaiser; Gordon (Fritz) Kwaiser; Eileen Gaertner and Adella Zdrojkowski, have predeceased her. The funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 26, 2016, at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Rd.
