Jagels, Henry B. Saginaw, Michigan Passed away peacefully at home on Friday, November 27, 2015, following a lengthy illness. Age 75 years. He was born on January 27, 1940 in Mt. Vernon, New York, to the late Paula (Reitz) and Henry A. Jagels. He grew up in Yonkers, New York, and after graduation, he joined the United States Air Force. He served for eight years, having been stationed in Germany and England. While stationed at Wurtsmith Air Force Base in Oscoda, Michigan, he met his wife, Judith A. (Sheldon) Jagels. They were married for 51 years, and she survives him. He also leaves two daughters, Jennifer L. (Jason) Moeller and Chris L. (John) Chambers; his twin grandsons, Jacob and Joshua Chambers; sister, Anita (Roger) Thornhill; sisters-in-law, Jill L. (Jim) Spaulding, Freeland; Marti J. (Keith) Lockwood, Lake Worth, FL; brother-in-law, William D. Sheldon, Oxford, MI; several nieces, nephews and their families. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by an infant son, Henry B. Jagels, Jr., a sister, Nancy Ryan, his parents-in-law, William D. and Jeanne (Smith) Sheldon, a brother-in-law, John S. Sheldon and a sister-in-law, Martha Sheldon. Henry worked as a salesman and retired from Construction Fasteners in Flint, Michigan. He and his wife have spent the last twelve winters at Crystal River, Florida. His hobbies included camping, bowling, playing cards, deer hunting, fishing, golfing and telling jokes. A celebration of his life, led by his family, will take place at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 1, 2015, at the W. L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Road. His family will receive friends from 3:30 p.m. Tuesday until the time of service.
