Herman W. Heinrich IV. (Skip) Merrill, Michigan Passed away Sunday, September 6, 2015, at the Chesaning Nursing home. Age 67 years. The son of the late Barbara N. (Thomas) and Herman W. Heinrich III. was born February 5, 1948 in Highland Park, Michigan. He married Joann Novak, January 19, 1980. She passed away March 10, 2013. He served with the U. S. Army during the Vietnam War and was a member of the American Legion Post #295, Breckenridge and the V.F.W. Hemlock-Merrill Post #7302. He was employed by Cignus Inc. retiring in 2014 with over 30 years of service. He enjoyed bowling, golf and was an avid Detroit Tiger Baseball fan and hunter. Surviving are four children and their spouses, Simone and Timothy Stonerock; Michelle and Jamie Brown; Wendy Heinrich; Ben Heinrich; seven grandchildren, Kaylee Stonerock; Michael McKiness; Justin Brown; Megan, Corey and Anthony Shankel; Kevin Heinrich; two brothers, one sister and their spouses, Sandi and Chuck Wethington; David Heinrich; Robert and Celia Heinrich; several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will take place at 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 11, 2015, at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel in Merrill. Rev. Glen Pettigrove will officiate with military burial in Lakefield Twp. Cemetery under the auspices of American Legion Post #295. Friends may call at the Chapel in Merrill from 11:00 a.m. Friday until the time of the funeral service.
