Age 91 years. She was born on April 17, 1927, in Hemlock, Michigan, to the late Edward and Lena (Bunterbart) Kreger. Hilda lived in the Hemlock area her entire life, including in her centennial home that has been in her maternal family since 1864. She attended Bird School, St. Peters Lutheran School, and earned her high school diploma later in life. She also attended Delta College. She married her adoring and loving husband, Dennis "Denny" Stark, on May 10, 1947, at St. Peters Lutheran Church in Hemlock. Hilda and Denny were blessed with more than 70 years of marriage. She was an advocate for education, heritage, and culture, especially appreciating classical music and the arts. In her lifetime, she loved all things beautiful, costume jewelry, flowers, celebrations, and time with her treasured family and friends. Together with her husband, Hilda enjoyed square dancing, attending auctions, and traveling across the country. She was a member of St. Peters Lutheran Church in Hemlock, where she was confirmed and married. She transferred to Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church and later moved back to St. Peters Lutheran Church, where she was an active member, and was passionate about her faith in the Lord. As a kind and supportive person, she will missed by all who knew her. Surviving are her three children, Larry (Mary Jo) Stark, Barbara (Don) Marcy, and David (Michelle) Stark; her grandchildren, Scott Stark, Aimee Farlow, Aaron Stark Sr., Sarah Jo (Jacob) Rowley, Larry "Dennis" Stark, and Kevin (Megan) Stark, Joshua Roy and Courtney Gustin; several great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild; a sister-in-law, Doris Stark, and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
