Hortensia Prince

Prince, Hortensia (Perez) St. Louis, MI Passed away Friday, April 21, 2017, at Masonic Pathways. She was 78 years of age. Hortensia Perez was born June 2, 1938, in Sebastian, Texas, to the late Feliciano and Catharine (Oliveraz) Perez. She married Dave Prince, Sr. on December 8, 1963, and he predeceased her on October 14, 2015. Hortensia was employed by Gratiot Community Hospital and retired after over 20 years of service. She loved cross-stitching, completing crossword puzzles, and enjoyed reading. Hortensia's main interest was her family to whom she was very devoted. Mrs. Prince is survived by her two daughters, Cindy (Jose) Elias and Geri Prince; five grandchildren, Nina Prince, Erika Elias, Jose Elias Jr., Dominic Prince, and Serena Prince; a great-granddaughter, Amara Prince-Sobek; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two children, James Prince and Dave Prince II. In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of her life will take place on June 3, 2017, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Wheeler Township Hall 8510 E. Monroe Rd. Wheeler, Michigan 48662.
