Hulda Mayou

Mayou, Hulda (Schwab) Saginaw, Michigan Passed away Sunday, February 2, 2014 at Select Specialty Care at the age of 92 years. Hulda was born January 3, 1922, the daughter of the late John and Emma (Zeilinger) Hammerbacher. She married Arthur Schwab in 1945, who predeceased her in 1990. In 1996, Hulda married Elmer Mayou who predeceased her in 2003. She retired from Pahl Studio in 1981. Hulda was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Amelith. Surviving are four children and their spouses, Mary Schwab Loviska, Bradenton, FL; Lester (Kay) Schwab, Middletown, PA; Carol (Jack) Fitzgerald, Freeland, MI; Daniel Schwab, Monroe, MI; five grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren; three step-children and their spouses, Taylor Mayou, Sarasota, FL; Wayne (Dorothy) Mayou, Saginaw, MI; Dee Wideman, Fort Wayne, IN; five step-grandchildren; nine step-great-grandchildren; her sister, Louise Hammerbacher and two sisters-in-law, Loretta Wegener and Ruth Harris. Hulda was predeceased by her son-in-law, Robert Loviska; and two brothers, Edgar Hammerbacher and Ottomar Hammerbacher. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 7, 2014 at St. John Lutheran Church, 1664 Amelith Rd, Bay City, MI 48706. Rev. Stephen P. Starke will officiate with burial in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Rd., from 2:00 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. They may then call at the church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
