Huldah Marcella (Boese) Gerard

Huldah Marcella (Boese) Gerard Knoxville, TN formerly of Saginaw, MI Huldah was ushered into the presence of her Savior, Jesus Christ, surrounded by family. She died at Park West Hospital in Knoxville, TN on June 3, 2017. Huldah was born February 21, 1920 in Avon, SD, a daughter of the late Peter and Anna Boese. She was temporarily separated by death from her husband of 62 years, Floyd B. Gerard, on June 2, 2002. When measured by earthly standards, Huldah Gerard was an exemplary wife and mother. But when measured by a heavenly standard - the eternal destiny of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren - she was, by God's grace, a blessed ambassador of His Kingdom. Huldah is survived by six children, Douglas Gerard and his wife Sandra of Saginaw, Ml; Onalee Garmon and her husband Everett of Knoxville, TN; Dr. Gary Gerard and his wife Kathleen of Lititz, PA; Dr. David Gerard and his wife Ruth of New Market, TN; Rev. Phillip Gerard and his wife Jeanne of Greenville, SC and Rebecca Bowman and her husband Donald of Lynchburg, VA; 14 grandchildren and 34 greatgrandchildren. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Ralph Boese, Milton Boese, and Donald Boese all of Saginaw, Ml, and four sisters, Norma Warner of Grand Rapids, Ml, Evelyn Ewert of South Bend, IN, Phyllis Bultman, of Moline, Ml, and Ardis Woolf, of Allegan, Ml. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at W.L. Case & Company Funeral Home, 201 N Miller Rd., Saginaw, Ml 48609. Rev. Phillip Gerard will officiate with interment at Owen Cemetery. Friends and family may visit with the family from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
