Beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend passed away on Monday, October 23, 2023, at Covenant HealthCare – Harrison, with her family at her side. At the age of 73 years.

The daughter of the late Clarence and Francis (Moore) Petrey, Ida was born on November 3, 1949. She graduated from Hemlock High School. Ida married Harold A. Vervinck on June 24, 1994, at the Swan Valley Church of the Nazarene, Shields, Michigan. He survives her. Ida was a proud stay at home mother. Her love and affection of children led her to have an in-home child daycare. Later on, Ida worked as a bus aide for the Saginaw Public Schools for many years of loyal and dedicated service. She had a strong love for her church. Ida was the second oldest member of the Swan Valley Church of the Nazarene, formerly Shields Church of the Nazarene. She enjoyed puzzles, cards, and playing board games with her family. Above all, Ida cherished the time spent with her family and loved ones.

Surviving besides her husband, Harold A. Vervinck; are her daughters and sons: Eddie Fisher, Jr. (Linda Blake), Lori (David) Kade, Brenda Fisher; step-son: Richard Vervinck; step-daughter: Dawn (Brad) Rhodes; brother: Clarence (Diane) Petrey, Jr.; sister-in-law: Jan Petrey; several grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; and her former spouse: Eddie Fisher, Sr. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends; especially her very dear friend: Lorna “Cissy” Brown. Besides her parents, Ida was preceded in death by her sisters and brothers: Lawrence Petrey, Maxine Hill, Barb Linker, Tom (Alberta) Petree, and Norma Jean Wallace.

Funeral Service will take place on at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 28, 2023, at Swan Valley Church of the Nazarene, 389 S. Miller Road, Saginaw, Michigan 48609. Rev. James M. York will officiate with entombment to follow at Oakwood Memorial Mausoleum. Friends may visit with the family from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday at the church.
