Ina Zoe Zuehlke (Carpenter); Of Saginaw County received a call from her lord who held her hand and lead her home on March, 4th 2014, surrounded by her family. She was born on March 30, 1947 in Selma, California and was preceded in death by her parents Altha and James Carpenter. She leaves behind to cherish her memories her loving husband Richard Zuehlke, nine children: Luana Sloan, Danny Gonyea, Denny Gonyea, Cherie Sloan, Darin Sloan, (Stacy Gabold), Cyndi Gonyea, (Mark Sledz), Megan Sloan, (Greg Hunt), Ramee Sloan, (Bob Adado), and Ryan Sloan, (Angela Brocato).They gave her twenty four grandchildren and four great grandchildren, whom were her pride and joy. She also leaves behind three sisters: Elnora Moreland, Jane Carpenter, (Stan Zielinski), Melba Carpenter, (Harley Arrowood), and a predeceased infant sister Norma Lee Carpenter, as well as many nieces and nephews. Ina had a passion for all things natural. She grew and harvested her own organic garden and raised chickens and ducks. Ina and her husband Richard owned and operated "The Brockway House Bed and Breakfast" in Saginaw, Michigan for many years. Ina loved unique items, gardening, rocks, and all animals. She had many furry and feathered friends throughout her lifetime. Her life was centered around her family and they wish to thank Beth, Liz and Carrie with "Hospice of Michigan" and Kevin with "My IV Rx of Midland" for their compassionate care and support. All of these people were a great comfort to her during this long brave fight against pancreatic cancer. Ina Pwas a wonderful wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and a blessing to everyone she met. If she must fly with the angels then fly she shall but she will never leave our sides. We will see you again one day always in our hearts we love you Zoe Z, mom. Visitation will take place on Friday March, 7 from 2:00 to 9:00pm at W.L. Case Funeral Home 4480 Mackinaw Rd and from 9am until the time of service at 11:00 on Saturday March 8th. Reverends R.B Ouellette and Rachel Laughlin will officiate. Internment will take place at Forest Lawn Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers the family wishes memorial consideration to go to Pet Angels in Frankenmuth, Michigan or St. Mathew's Lutheran Church.
