Irene Julia Meier

Meier, Irene Julia Saginaw, MI Passed away Friday, December 18, 2015 at Covenant Healthcare, age 87 years. Irene was born in Unionville, MI June 4, 1928 the daughter of the late Arlos and Julia (Kertoonis) Kassin. She married Charles "Art" Petoskey in 1946. He predeceased her in 1966. She then married Robert Meier and he also predeceased her. Irene enjoyed reading, sewing and listening to classic country music. Irene is survived by three children, Linda Hagerty, Laurie (Mike) Remainder and James Meier and his friend, Char; four grandchildren, Michael Remainder and his friend, Bridgette, Kimberly Remainder and her friend, Mark, Colleen (Allan) Tennant and Shawn Hagerty; 10 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one sister, Laurie Stevens; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, Fred and Jim. According to her wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place 1:00 p.m. Monday, December 21, 2015 at St. Charles United Methodist Church, 301 W. Belle Rd. Rev. Rob Richards will officiate.
