      Passed away Wednesday, September 14, 2022, at Hoyt Nursing and Rehab Center.  Age 94 years. 

     The daughter of the late Helen (Slancik) and Adolph Sakowski was born January 6, 1928, in Saginaw, Michigan. She married Richard William Leitz, October 5, 1946. He passed away September 17, 2011. Irene retired from Lufkin Rule and enjoyed Needlepoint, playing cards and baking.

     Surviving are several  nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by an infant sister, Helen Grace Sakowski, three brothers, Michael and Adolph Sakowski and Richard Ozerajtys.
