Lopez, Irma Marie (Guerra) Saginaw, Michigan Irma was called upon by the Lord Wednesday, April 24, 2013 to join Him in His Kingdom. Irma Guerra was born the daughter of the late Victor and Irene (Esparza) Guerra in San Benito, Texas February 17, 1947. She married Robert Lopez, March 6, 1964 and he survives her. Irma was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She enjoyed cooking, spending time with her family, travelling and gardening. In addition to her loving husband of 49 years, Robert, Irma is survived by four children, Robert P. Lopez, Sandra (Willard) Sanders, Tracy Lopez and Lesley Lopez; 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; her sisters, Melva Guerra, Olga J. Guerra, Mary Whitson and Irene (Daniel) Alvarez; brothers, Victor Guerra and Antonio (Athena) Guerra; sisters-in-law, Aurora (Richard) Larson, Mary Louise Bruce, Antonia (Louis) Enriquez, Sylvia (Rudy) Verdusco and Irene Agostini; brother-in-law, David (Connie) Lopez; a special niece, Sabrina Cantu Burda; her close friend, Helen (Teddy) Rodriquez and many loved ones. Irma was predeceased by two sisters, Gloria Munoz and Diana G. Machul and her father and mother in law, Jose and Luz Lopez. She will be greatly missed by all her family and friends. The family would also like to give special thanks to Dr. Medley Larkin of Saginaw and the Henry Ford Medical Center for giving Irma an extended 5 years of life, enabling Irma to help others through AA and Tri Cap counseling. Irma was living proof that with faith and strength you can overcome the greatest obstacles. The Mass of Christian Burial will take place 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 29, 2013 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 915 N. 6th Street. Rev. Fr. Frank Voris, O.F.M. Cap. will officiate with burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family at W. L. Case & Company, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. Sunday from 2:00 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 9:00 p.m. where they may join the family for a parish vigil service at 7:00 p.m. Friends may then call at church Monday from 9:00 a.m. until time of the service.
