Iva Belle Hazzard

Iva Belle Hazzard, age 94, of Saginaw, Michigan, passed away on Wednesday, November 8, 2023. Iva was born in Hope, Michigan, on June 28, 1929, the daughter of the late Frank Loren Card and Cora Coney Card.

Iva graduated from Edenville High School. She worked as a surgical nurse for the Saginaw Osteopathic Hospital, where she retired after many years of service. Iva was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who loved to care for her family.

Iva was united in marriage with William Hazzard, and he preceded her in death in 2005. She is survived by her daughter, Sally Hazzard-Franz; grandchildren, Lauren (Michael) Lazorchak, Mary Franz, David (Alexis) Franz, and Nathan (Sarah) Franz; great-grandchildren, Jeremy, Tristan, David Jr., Jack, Michael, William, Fiona, Ben, Jason, and Hailey.

Friends may visit with the family from 12 p.m. – 1 p.m. on Tuesday, November 14, 2023, at W.L. Case and Company Funeral Directors, 4480 Mackinaw Rd, Saginaw, MI 48603, where the funeral will follow at 1 p.m. Pastor Rob Richards will officiate the service with interment to follow in St. Andrew Catholic Cemetery.
