Our father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great-grandfather passed away on December 28, 2022; at the age of 92 years.
The son of the late Amos and Germaine Roby, Jack was born on February 28, 1931, in Saginaw, Michigan. Jack attended Arthur Hill Technical School. He married Doris E. Rexius on September 25, 1949; she preceded him in death on July 30, 2006. Jack began working at age 13 in a small gas station and garage in James Township, Saginaw, Michigan. He later worked at Minco Products Cement Plant, and finally at GM Grey Iron Foundry for 37 years of loyal and dedicated service. In his free time, Jack enjoyed fishing and hunting, especially at his place at Black Lake, Onaway, Michigan.
Surviving are three daughters, one son and their spouses: Linda M. Miller (Jerry Brown), Mary (Len) Wuckert, John (Faye) Roby, Janet (Jim) Theisen; seven grandchildren: Holly (Scott) Morris, Joel (Jenny) Miller, Jill (Stan) Miller, Alicia (Jon) Lefler, Shawn Roby, Matthew (Jessica) Theisen, Morgan (Scott) Thane; ten great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to his partner: Betty Reynolds, Hemlock, Michigan; very dear friends: Debbie and Dan Smith, for their kind and compassionate care of Jack.
Friends may visit with the family from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 5, 2023, at W. L. Case and Company, 201 N. Miller Road. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider a charity of donor's choice.
