Beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, and friend passed away on May 9, 2018, just shy of his 80th birthday. Jack was born on May 13, 1938 in Saginaw to the late Clyde and Genieva (Perry) Douglas. He married Jeannette L. Cherry on March 23, 1964; she survives him. Jack retired from Saginaw Steering Gear after 33 years of service and later worked for Meritech Merrill Tool. He was a member of Trout Unlimited and the NRA. He was an avid outdoorsmen and enjoyed trout fishing, gun sports and golfing, but most especially enjoyed time spent with family and friends. Surviving besides his wife of 54 years, Jennette, are his children: Jack L. Douglas (Tricia) St. Charles: Janine Bateson (Ken) TN: Sheryl Baker (Steve) Montrose; Cary Trier (Chris) St. Charles; Brad A Douglas. Jack was blessed with 8 grand-children and 10 great-great-grandchildren. Siblings: Sandy (deceased) and Clyde Bell; Pat Douglas, Burt; Penny and Robert Harris Brant and many nieces, nephews, and good friends. A memorial service will be held at 5:30 p.m. Monday, May 14, 2018 at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Rd. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral chapel on Monday from 11:00-3:00 p.m. and from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the memorial.
