Jack Ducham Jr. Saginaw, Michigan Beloved brother, uncle, cousin and friend, passed away Tuesday, February 18, 2014 in the loving care of St. Francis Home after an aggressive battle with cancer. Age 72 years. The son of the late John (Jack) and Margaret (Babe) Murphy Ducham was born July 15, 1941, in Saginaw. He was a lifelong member of St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Jack was employed by General Motors, Grey Iron Foundry, until his retirement in 1992. Jack loved history, hunting, Celtic music, anything to do with firefighting, taking people out on his pontoon boat and his sister-in-law Katie's cherry pie. Jack had a kind and gentle soul and spent his life caring for other people. He adored his nieces and nephews, including those added when his nieces and nephews married. Surviving to cherish his memory are two sisters, one brother and their spouses, Alice and Robert Hermes; Michael and Martha Ducham; Mary and Gary Weinstein; his sister-in-law, Kathleen Ducham; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Jack was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Robert (Glen) Ducham; a sister and brother-in-law, Nancy and Robert Henne, and a sister-in-law, Debra Ducham. The funeral liturgy will take place at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 22, 2014, at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 4735 W. Michigan Ave. Saginaw. Rev. Steve Gavit will officiate with cremation to follow. Friends may call at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Rd. from 2:00-8:00 p.m. Friday where a parish vigil service will take place at 7:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Church on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral liturgy.
