Jack R. Graham of Saginaw, Michigan
Beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and uncle passed away peacefully, with his family by his side, on Thursday, September 21, 2023, at St. Mary's of Michigan. He was 91 years old. Jack Robert Graham was born on July 5, 1932, in Saginaw, Michigan, to the late Calvin R. and Caroline M. (Hunt) Graham. Jack proudly served his country by enlisting in the United States Air Force during the Korean War from 1952 until his honorable discharge in 1956. While on leave, he met the love of his life, Rose Marie Pepin, while at his cousin's house. They dated, fell in love, and were united in marriage on December 3, 1955, in Indiana; she survives him. Jack worked as a machine operator with General Motors retiring in 1989 from Plant 7, after 31 years of loyal and dedicated service. The role of his lifetime, and one he loved above all others, was to be a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Jack was a longtime and faithful member of Grace Baptist Church and loved both his faith and the church. His little piece of heaven was spending time golfing as well as bowling. He also enjoyed watching Tigers baseball, passing this enthusiasm on to his children. Above all, Jack treasured and cherished his family. He will forever be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor and infectious laugh, for his dedication and hard work ethic, for his love and care toward those he loved, and for truly living an amazing life filled with many beautiful memories and stories.
Surviving are his wife of 67 years, Rose M. Graham of Saginaw; three children: Larry R. (Liliana) Graham of Katy, TX; Jenene E. (Barry) Hodges of St. Louis; and Carol M. (Nicholas) Casale of Saginaw; 16 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson on the way; special friends, Michael and Margaret Casale. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a great-grandson, Dillan Abell; two brothers: Calvin E. Graham and Walter A. Graham; one sister, Ruth Diebold; and two infant brothers. Honoring Jack's wishes, cremation has taken place.
A Memorial Service will take place at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, September 29, 2023, at Grace Baptist Church, 4619 Mackinaw Road. Pastor Tim Miller will officiate. Military Honors will follow under the auspices of the United States Air Force and American Legion Post 22. Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at noon. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Grace Baptist Church or School. Please share your thoughts and memories with the family through www.casefuneralhome.com.
