Beloved husband, father and Papa passed away peacefully with his family at his side on Monday, February 5, 2018 at the age of 73 years. Jack was born December 28, 1944 in Fremont, Ohio to the late Jack and Jane (Ransburg) Pump. He had been employed for 34 years by Grey Iron, retiring in 1998. He married Barbara Ann Glowacki August 7, 1976 and she survives him. Jack was an avid Buckeye fan and also enjoyed bowling and woodworking. Surviving besides his wife are one daughter and one son, Jody and Tom Ciolek and Josh and Angie Pump; four grandchildren, Aubrey, Chase, Mason and Hudson; four brothers and one sister and their spouses, Jay (Susan) Pump, Jeff (Sharon) Pump, Jim (Nancy) Pump, Julia Koenig, Jan (Amy) Pump; many nieces and nephews; his mother-in-law, Darlene Glowacki; three sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law, Kathleen Andrews, Margaret (Richard) Rice, Patricia (Timothy) Packard and Jason (Michelle) Glowacki. He also leaves his beloved feline companion, Abby. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by one brother, Joe Pump, his father-in-law, Richard Glowacki and his brother-in-law, Fred Koenig. Funeral service will take place at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 10, 2018 at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. Rev. Gerald Rohn will officiate with cremation to follow. Friends may call at the chapel from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. Friday. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider the Bridgeport Schools Scholarship Fund or the charity of their choice.
