Jacob Orain Ford of Bridgeport, Michigan
Beloved son, father, brother, nephew, cousin, and friend went home to be with our Lord and Savior on Thursday, September 23, 2021. He was 35 years old. Jacob Orain Ford was born on April 8, 1986, in Saginaw, Michigan, to Diane M. (Atkins) and the late Kevin A. Ford. He attended Heritage High School. Jacob was a devoted Christian and faithfully attended First Baptist Church of Bridgeport where he actively volunteered for various ministries within the church. He was a loyal, dedicated, and hardworking employee with Sparkle Buggy Car Wash on Bay Road. Jacob was an avid outdoorsman finding peace and tranquility in nature and truly enjoyed hunting and fishing, especially with his father. He was friendly, kind, caring and had the innate ability to connect with anyone. Jacob was a true witness to the Lord with family, friends, and church members. Above all, Jacob treasured and cherished his beloved daughter, Isabella. He will forever be remembered for his strong faith and optimism for the Lord, the love and care he had for his daughter, mother, and family, and for his quiet, gentle, and beautiful soul.
Surviving are his mother, Diane M. Ford of Vassar; daughter, Isabella Grace Ford of Virginia Beach, VA; sister, Mackenzie Fay Ford of Grand Rapids; and a former spouse Jennifer N. (Allen) Bruner of Virginia Beach, VA. Also surviving are many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Kevin A. Ford; grandparents: Orain and Norma Ford, Fred Atkins, and Marie L. Atkins; and an uncle, David Ford.
Honoring Jacob's wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial service honoring his life will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 28, 2021, at First Baptist Church of Bridgeport, 2400 King Road. Pastor Scott Cowling will officiate. Friends are welcome to visit the family at the church on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
