Jacqueline M. "Jackie" Konesko of Saginaw, Michigan
Loving mother and grandmother, passed away on Tuesday, January 25, 2022. Age 91 years. Daughter of the late Earl and Vallie Mortimore Sovia, Jackie was born in Saginaw, Michigan. She was married to Peter Konesko who predeceased her in 1986. Jackie led a colorful life and held many interests including working at Singer Sewing Center at Fort Saginaw Mall, women's softball league at Hoyt Park, a girl scout leader, choir director, church activities at Lake Louise, worked for March of Dimes, Cancer Society and sold antiques. She loved to travel which started in the 1970's. Her watercolor paintings were wonderful, she also kept busy sewing quilts to give away to family, friends and veteran organizations.
Surviving to cherish her memory are her two daughters, Connie Konesko of Saginaw; Brenda Miller of Saginaw; and her grandson, Eric Bosserdet.
Jackie was preceded in death by two brothers, Gene and Gary Sovia, Tyler, Texas; and two sisters, Donaldene Steele and Marilyn LaPoint of Saginaw.
A funeral service will take at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 1, 2022, at the W. L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Road. Rev. Ted McCulloch will officiate. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery. Friends are welcome to visit with the family on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at noon.
