Jacquelyn G. (Jackie) Harris of Bay City, MI, formerly of Saginaw, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, Feb. 13, 2020. She was 63 years old. Born on July 8, 1956 to the late John G. (Jack) Harris and Janice G. (Michalski) Harris, the beloved daughter, sister, aunt & good friend was a proud member of the Arthur Hill High School class of 1974. Following graduation she attended Ferris State College. She was employed by Bay City Public Schools as a para-professional and retired following 30 years of service in 2018.
Surviving are her mother, Janice Harris; brother James and his wife Debbie Harris; and a nephew, Jonathan Harris; many loving aunts, uncles and cousins, including a special cousin Mark Myczkowiak; her “Girl Squad” and many great friends in both Bay City and Saginaw.
Jackie enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She also enjoyed traveling and took many enjoyable trips with friends and family. University of Michigan sports, especially football & basketball, along with the Detroit Tigers and Red Wings were her beloved sports teams which she avidly followed and cheered on. Jackie also had a special gift for gardening. She planted and tended the flower gardens at Bliss Park for years which brought pleasure to many patients and visitors of Covenant Harrison Hospital campus. For the past five years she brought her green thumb to the grounds of Saginaw City Hall and helped transform that landscape. Jackie was a true people person and made friends with all around her. She was a kind, loving, giving friend to all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her loving father, John G. (Jack) Harris.
A Memorial Service will take place beginning at 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 22, 2020 at W. L. Case and Comapany, 4480 Mackinaw Road, Saginaw. Friends and family are welcome to visit from noon until the time of service.
