James Francis Giacoletti

Giacoletti, James "Jim" Saginaw, MI Passed away March 7th, 2014 at Tucson Medical Center with his family by his side. Age 79 years. Jim was born in December 1934, to the late Joseph and Margaret (Poma) Giacoletti of Saginaw. He graduated from St Peter and Paul High School, Class of 1952. Jim joined the Army and served during the Korean War. He married Nancy Craven, his wife of 57 years survives him. Into this union 5 children were born. Surviving are Michelle (Steve) Runion of GA, Brenda Mey of Washington D.C., Timothy (Karen) Giacoletti of AZ and Ann (Paul) LaLonde of Saginaw. His grandchildren who held a special place in his heart, are Aundrea, Amanda, Tony, Kris, Gavin, Kyle, Alysha, Danielle, Nick and Joshua and 10 great grandchildren. He dearly loved his brother Clarence (Zita) Giacoletti, his brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Ronald (Camielle) Craven and Donna (Craven) Sollner. many nieces, nephews, and cousins that he adored. His daughter, Dr. Tina Giacoletti-Baker, and his sister, Ruth Braley, have predeceased him. He loved to make them smile and laugh by singing them songs and passed on his love for music to them. He was a member of Community Baptist Church previously singing in the choir. Jim enjoyed fishing, hunting and sports- especially The Detroit Tigers, Lions, Michigan State Spartans and Notre Dame. He retired from Dow Corning Hemlock Semi-Conductor after 28 years of service. Jim and Nancy loved to travel and see the world. They were snowbirds in Arizona but especially loved visiting their children and grandchildren around the world. Family was everything to Jim. The celebration of life will be held on Sunday, March 16th, 2014 at 2:00p.m. at the W L. Case and Co. Funeral Directors, 201 N. Miller Rd. Dr. Douglas Jackson will officiate. Friends and family may visit at the funeral home from Noon Sunday until the time of the service.
