James G. Turner

James G. Turner Saginaw, Michigan Passed away Sunday, March 26, 2017, at Covenant- Cooper. Age 87 years. The son of the Helen (Albers) and James Turner was born March 30, 1929 in Saginaw, Michigan. He married Betty Jane Trim in 1955. She passed away August 12, 2014. James served with they U.S. Navy. He was employed by Eaton Mfg. Co. retiring with over 35 years of service. He was a member of Spirit Filled Lighthouse Church and the U.A.W. He enjoyed writing poetry and stories. Surviving are six children and their spouses, Michele Turner; Mark and Karen Turner; Jodi and Howard Thurston; Joy and Steven Juhas; Sherry and Don Cooper; Lori and Mike Czapiewski; 15 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren, one great great grandchild; a brother and sister, William Turner and Laura Kendall; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, Jed Turner, a grandson, Chad Thurston, and two sisters, Ellen and Beulah Trim. The funeral service will take placed at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 1, 2017 at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Rd. Rev. Phil Ortega and Rev. Donald Weston will officiate. Friends may call at the Chapel from 10:00 a.m. Saturday until the time of the funeral service.
