James "Jim" Albert Williams

Loving husband, father, son, and brother passed away at his home in Bridgeport on Saturday, January 13^th, 2024, at the age of 62. Jim was born on June 14^th, 1961, to Mary (Schomaker) Williams and the late Albert Williams in Saginaw, Michigan, and was a 1979 graduate of Bridgeport High School.  It was there that he met his high school sweetheart, Linda Burch, and the two would marry on September 4^th, 1982, spending over 41 years together. She survives him. Jim lived his life in service to others, spending over 42 years as a service technician for Dictating Machine Service and then Imaging Resources and it was said that the staff of all the businesses he serviced loved him. Jim stayed as active in his free time as he did when working. He occupied his time fishing and woodworking, and loved Marvel comics, especially those featuring Spider-Man and Iron Man. He was a devote Christian and deeply involved in the Bridgeport Community Church. He was also a Boy Scout troop leader. Jim was never one to seek the limelight, but instead lived his life for others. He was a family-oriented man who was always the first one in and last one out.

Jim is survived by his wife of 41 years, Linda Williams; children Josh Williams, Nathan (Emily Iveson), and Daniel Williams; mother Mary Williams; mother-in-law Gertrude Burch; sister Kathy (Rick) Miller; brother Ken (Mary Hancock) Williams; and brother-in-law Chip Burch; as well as many other family members and friends.

Preceded in death by father Albert Williams; infant brother Brian Williams; and father-in-law Cecil Burch Sr.

In accordance with Jim’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, January 20^th, 2024, at Bridgeport Community Church, 3821 State St, Bridgeport, MI 48722, with Rev. Kyle Hug presiding. Visitation will take place at the church from 9:00am until the time of service.
