James H Nugent, Jr.

Loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather passed away peacefully under the hospice care of Toni & Trish House in Auburn, Michigan, on Sunday, March 19^th, 2023, at the age of 73. James was born on September 18^th, 1949, to the late James & Eloise (Quick) Nugent, and was a graduate of Saginaw High School. A hard worker, James spent his years as a Millwright for General Motors, retiring after more than four decades of service. His first wife was Victoria LaDrigue, who preceded him in death in 1973. He then married Michelle McMall in 1976. She preceded him in death in 2020. In his free time, James loved to hunt, sport shooting, grilling, and tinkering around in his garage. You could often find him sitting in his recliner reading a good book. James is remembered as being a man of few words but who had a big heart and loved his family more than anything.

James is survived by children Laura (Steven) Ellis, Jennifer (Don Burgess) Nugent, James Nugent, III, & Robert Nugent; grandchildren Cassandra (Bradlee) West, Garrett Ellis, Mackinley Nugent, Teagan Nugent, & Connor Nugent; expected great granddaughter Morgan West; and sister-in-law Lynn Nugent; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members, and friends.

James was preceded in death by siblings Sheran (Joe) Scholtz and Monroe Nugent.
