James R. LaPan

Our loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, went home to be with the Lord on May 20, 2022. Age 83 years.

James was born on January 19, 1939, son of the late Paul and Dorothy (Lyons) LaPan, in Saginaw. He was a graduate of St. Andrew Catholic High School, Class of 1958 and served in the United States Navy. James married Dixie Curtis on April 20, 1963. She survives him. He retired from General Motors after 38 years of service and was a member of the U.A.W. Local #699. He loved the outdoors whether it was golfing, snowmobiling, drives up North or even just working in his yard. He especially loved spending time with Dixie and their family.

James will be missed by his loving wife, Dixie; daughter, Tammy LaPan and son, Jeff (Luisa) LaPan; grandchildren, Ashley, James and Amara and great granddaughter, Genevieve. He was predeceased by his sister, Pauline Newas.

Honoring James’ wishes, cremation has taken place and a Memorial Mass will be scheduled at a later date.
