Pitcher, James R. Saginaw, Michigan Passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at the age of 92 years. He was born October 14, 1924 in Jackson, Michigan to the late James Earl and Elsie Elizabeth (Barth) Pitcher. He served with the U. S. Army during WWII. Jim married Jean C. McNicoll on August 10, 1946; she predeceased him December 29, 1995. He was a member of Warren Ave. Presbyterian Church. He owned and operated Jaeckel and Rau clothing store, in which he was actively engaged for over 42 years. Surviving are one daughter and one son, Susan Paterson, Saginaw; David and Lisa Pitcher, Saginaw; three grandchildren, Melissa (Matt), Allison and Jacob; two great-grandchildren, Finlay and Lachlan. He was predeceased by his son, James M. Pitcher, and his son-in-law, David Paterson. Funeral service will take place at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, December 29, 2016 at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Road, where his family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Rev. James Williams will officiate. Private entombment will take place at Oakwood Mausoleum.
