Jameson Leo Lawrence

Lawrence, Jameson Leo Saginaw, Michigan Beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away Friday evening, March 31, 2017, at New Hope Valley Assisted Living, at the age of 98 years. He was born November 12, 1918, in Saginaw, the son of the late Francis and Alice (Martin) Lawrence. He married Betty Jane Devers on November 12, 1941; she predeceased him December 12, 1996. He retired from General Motors after 30 years of service. He was an avid reader, enjoyed camping, and especially loved time spent with his family and grandchildren. Surviving are four sons, one daughter and their spouses, Gary and Dee Lawrence, Surprise, Arizona; Diane Lawrence and her husband Lonnie Suski, Traverse City; Keith and Jennifer Lawrence, Midland; Dennis and Sharon Lawrence, Freeland; Michael and Debra Lawrence, Bay City; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and their families. Besides his wife and parents, he was predeceased by a son, Terry Lawrence; a great-granddaughter, Tricia; and by one brother, one sister and two half-brothers. His family will receive friends at the W. L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Road, from 2:00 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 4, 2017, where a time of remembrance will take place at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday. Graveside committal will take place at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 5, 2017, at St. Andrew Cemetery, with Chaplain Don Killey officiating.
