"Thank you, thank you, thank you for letting me be your child!" These words ended each journal entry that Jane wrote to her savior, Jesus Christ. Her greatest joy was to be in His presence; through prayer, the reading of His Word, her journaling, and music. New Years Day, Jane died and God ushered her into his Heavenly celebration. The soprano section gained its newest mezzo! Jane loved her family. Her legacy is her faith. She showed God's love through service to her family and church. Over the years, Jane directed the New Foundation Singers and directed and sang in many choirs; taught Sunday school and youth groups and was a gifted seamstress for many church productions. Surviving to cherish her memory are her children: Jane L. (Keith) Clough, H. Greg Frey, John M. (Ruth) Frey, ten grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren. Jane was predeceased by her husband, Harold R. Frey. Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at Ames United Methodist Church, 801 State St. Rev. Doug Mater will officiate. Friends may visit with the family on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
