Jane Louise (Becker) Wilber

Jane Louise Wilber (Becker) Saginaw, Michigan Beloved mother and grandmother passed away Friday, March 28, 2014. Age 93 years. Jane was born October 22, 1920, the daughter of the late Hiram Manley and Agnes Jane (Gray) Becker. She attended Bridgeport Schools and graduated from Saginaw High School in 1938. She was the first "Helen of Troy" at Saginaw High School in 1936. She was very active in all school activities. She helped organize the Bridgeport High School Scholarship Commission. She was a lifelong member of St. John's Episcopal Church where she taught Sunday school for many years and served on the church vestry. She married Harold Wilber, August 1, 1947. He passed away January 2, 2010 after 62 years of marriage. Jane is survived by her children, Dawn Lee (Ronald) Florkowski and James Manley (Betsy) Wilber; six grandchildren, Katherine and Elizabeth Florkowski; Emily, Sarah, James and Robert Wilber. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and a sister, Ruth Raymond and two brothers, Hiram and Jack Becker. The funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 1, 2014, at St. John's Episcopal Church. 123 N. Michigan Ave. The Rev. Daniel Cannon will officiate. Committal service will be at 2:00 p.m. in Pinegrove Cemetery, Bridgeport. Friends may call at the W. L. Case and Co.
