Jane M. Lingle (Van Arsdale)

Beloved wife, mother and grandmother passed away on Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at Ascension St. Mary’s Hospital with her family at her side; at the age of 82 years. The daughter of the late Emil and Emma (Baumgartener) Schindler, was born October 16, 1937 in Saginaw, Michigan. She worked until retirement in Bridgeport-Spaulding School District as an executive assistant for the Director of Community Education. She enjoyed ceramics, knitting, sewing, fishing and traveling the U.S.A. Above all, Jane cherished the time spent with her loving family.
Jane married Norman Van Arsdale in 1956. Their thirty years together saw a daughter, Diane (David) Mulders, MI; and a son, Richard (Debbie) Van Arsdale, LA. Norman preceded her in death in 1986.
Jane found a second love, Monroe Lingle, “Jack” to everyone who knows him. Jane married Jack on October 15, 2000 and blended their families. Jack’s children: Larry (Connie) Lingle, TX; Sue Lingle, SC; Randy Lingle, MI; Ray Lingle, MI. Also surviving are many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; a sister: Carol A. Konsdorf; nieces; nephews and extended family. Besides her parents, Jane is preceded in death by a step-daughter, Margaret Hemenway; two brothers: Ralph Schindler, Norman Schindler; and a sister: Arlene Wolpert.
Funeral service will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 22, 2020 at W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 5700 Dixie Hwy, Saginaw. Rev. Tim Behnke will officiate with burial to follow at Pine Grove Cemetery. Friends may visit the family from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, February 21, 2020 at the funeral chapel, and from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday.
