Janet Rose Coombs

Janet Rose Coombs Saginaw, Michigan Beloved mother and grandmother passed away on Sunday April 19, 2015 at the age of 76 with her family by her side. The daughter of the late Henry and Dorothy (Dittenber) Miller was born on December 18, 1938 in Saginaw. She graduated from Arthur Hill, the class of 1956. Janet retired from Michigan Bell after more than 30 years of dedicated service. She was an active member of Old Town Christian Outreach Center and also was a member of the Friends of the Butman-Fish Library, Pioneers Service Club Retirees and the Germans from Russia Club. Janet also enjoyed volunteering, reading, golf, travel, going to the beach and spending time with her family. Surviving are her brother: David (Mary) Miller, sister, Brenda (David) Bentley, her son: Thomas (Debra) Coombs, D.D.S., her daughter: Linda (Dan) Mason, 8 grandchildren: DJ, Kevin, Chelcie, Miranda, Mikayla, Hailey, Trevor, Kelsey, her beloved friend of more than 50 years: Mary Rossman, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. She was predeceased by her parents, brother Alan and a granddaughter. A memorial service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at the Old Town Christian Outreach Center, 600 Gratiot Rd. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider the Humane Society.
