Janice Ann Sanders of Hemlock, Michigan
Beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt passed away peacefully on Monday, February 8, 2021, at St. Francis Home of Saginaw. She was 84 years old. Janice Ann Martin was born on April 16, 1936, in Saginaw, Michigan, to the late Henry and Gertrude (Foy) Martin. She was a proud 1955 graduate of Hemlock High School. Following graduation, Janice enrolled in the M. J. Murphey Beauty School in Saginaw to become a licensed cosmetologist. She married the love of her life, Alan R. Sanders on July 2, 1966; he preceded her in death on November 4, 2017. Janice was a faithful member of St. John XXIII Parish, St. Mary Catholic Church, and humbly donated her time and wisdom to the people and the parish. Janice was kind and compassionate soul finding peace, comfort, and solace by helping others in need throughout Hemlock. She will forever be remembered for her generosity, selflessness, and her humanitarian efforts to help the people her beloved community.
Surviving are two daughters and a son: Maria Fitting of Hemlock, Margaret Sanders (Carl Castanier) of Saginaw, and Martin Sanders of Hemlock; three grandchildren: Gracie Fitting of Hemlock, Stratton Sanders of Shields, and Marrissa Price of Freeland; three sisters: Jane Bradley of Midland, Grace (Roger) Abdella of Saginaw, and Rosalie (Paul) Petricevic of Freeland; sister-in-law, Barbara Martin of Thomas Township; special daughter-in-law and son-in-law: Michelle Duffett Price of Freeland and James Fitting of Hemlock; special niece, Mary (Randy) Emeott of Hemlock. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
She preceded in death by her siblings: Mary, Helen, Kathleen, and Lowell.

A private family Funeral Liturgy will take place at on Friday, February 12, 2021, at St. John XXIII Parish, St. Mary Catholic Church, 151 Saint Marys Drive, Hemlock. Rev. Fr. Michael F. Steltenkamp S.J. will officiate. Honoring Janice’s wishes, cremation will follow the service with burial at St. Mary Cemetery.
