Burns, Jean A. Saginaw, Michigan Passed away on Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at her home at the age of 68 years. The daughter of the late Frederick and Alma Miller was born on October 25, 1946 in Saginaw. Jean graduated from Delta College. She married Rev. William H. Burns, he survives her. She worked for Meijers for many years and did home care. She was a charter member of Old Town Christian Center. Over the years, Jean enjoyed reading her Kindle books, working cross word and circle it puzzles, making floral arrangements and volunteering at the Old Town Prison Ministry. Surviving besides her husband, Rev. William Burns, are a son, James (Michelle) Mackowski, daughter Michelle Mackowski, 10 grandchildren, her sister Virginia Canavan, and her mother-in-law Gertrude Burns. Jean was predeceased by her parents and her daughter, Suzanne Makowski Bickel. A memorial Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 20, 2014 at the Old Town Christian Outreach Center, 600 Gratiot. Rev. Donald Dinninger will officiate. Friends may visit with the family on Saturday at church, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the arrangements.
