Jean A. Michael

Jean A. Michael Saginaw, Michigan Passed away Wednesday, August 20, 2014, at St. Mary's Hospital. She was 72 years old. Jean was born September 23, 1941 in Saginaw, the daughter of the late Floyd and Mable (Robbins) Morse. She married James R. Michael, February 27, 1960. He survives her. Jean graduated from Hemlock High School and received her Associates Degree and Registered Nursing certificate from Delta College. She was employed by Dr. Brown and retired with 30 years of service. Jean was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church. She and her husband loved adventure and travel, enjoying their sailboat and motor home. She particularly enjoyed Myrtle Beach, SC. and Panama City Beach, FL. Most of all she enjoyed time with her grandchildren and attending their events. Surviving besides her husband, James, are a daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie and Douglas Hoppe; three grandchildren, Taylor, Zachary and Michael; a brother and his wife, James and Pam Morse; her sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Debby Michael; Linda and Bob Larsen; Bill and Karen Michael; many adoring nieces, nephews, and cousins. The funeral liturgy will take place at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 23, 2014, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Rev. Peter Gaspeny will officiate with burial in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Merrill. Friends may call at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Rd. from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday where a Vigil service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Church from 9:00 a.m. Saturday until the time of the funeral service.
