Wagner, Jean Kathleen Saginaw, Michigan Jean Kathleen (Catterfeld) Wagner, daughter of Edward and Augusta (Koehn) Catterfeld passed away on February 10, 2016, at the age of 88 years, surrounded by her family. She was predeceased by her parents and her brother Richard Catterfeld as well as brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Viola and Leo Marcoux, Wilbert and Ann Wagner, Edna and Russell Wildey, Leonard and Alice Wagner and Melvin and Ollie Wagner. A lifelong resident of Saginaw except for six months living in California Jean was born on March 6, 1927, married Ralph N. Wagner on May 27, 1950, he passed away on August 8, 2002. They had three children: Barbara Wagner of Edmond, OK, David Wagner of Oscoda, MI and Susan (Rick) Leddy of Saginaw, MI. They had four grandchildren: Michael (Amanda) Leddy, Melissa (Wesley) Ferchau, Brian Leddy and Scott Leddy. They had three great grandsons, Hunter Leddy, Brayden Leddy, and Elliot Ferchau. Jean is also survived by nieces and nephews some of which she was a sponsor. Jean graduated as a Registered Nurse from Saginaw General Nursing School in 1948 and worked at St. Luke's Hospital retiring in 1991. She loved to play cards, especially 500 and euchre and was a member of several card clubs. Jean also loved attending her grandchildren's activities and was an avid traveler. She enjoyed going to the casino, doing crossword puzzles, playing bingo and playing games on the computer. Jean was an active member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church where she did tutoring at the school, was a caring shepherd, served with the Church Mice and attended Bible studies. The family extends a sincere thank you to the staff of 3-East at Covenant Cooper for their care during Jean's last hospital stay. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 15, 2016, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 808 Weiss Street, Saginaw, Michigan. Rev. Michael Korte will officiate with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the W. L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Road, from 2:00 7:00 p.m. on Sunday and on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at Bethlehem Lutheran Church.
